Dry skin routine

If you are unfortunate enough to struggle with dry skin, you know that it’s a daily battle. Trust me, I hear you! Being that it’s winter time as well is not exactly helping the situation. One thing that I’ve learned dealing with dry skin my self, is that less is more. Focus on just one thing, which is rehydrating your skin. Opt to use exfoliator and retinol only once a week. Try to also keep your skin care routine to a minimum. Don’t over complicate it with too many steps and use a more minimalistic approach. We’re here to give you a simple skin care routine designed to add moisture back to your skin.

As per usual the first step to any routine is of course to cleanse your skin. If you have dry skin try to only wash your face in the evening. Simply splash some lukewarm water in the morning and that’s more than enough for your AM cleanse. The “Skin Sapiens Facial Cleanser Gel” is a gentle cleanser suitable even for sensitive skin. It focuses on moisturizing oils with derivatives of both coconut and palm oil. It’s also fragrance free as this can in some cases cause irritation and can be overly stripping to the skin. Which makes this cleanser ideal for dry skin. Having multiple oils as top ingredients makes this perfect for both the first and second cleanse. There is no need to have two separate products to be able to double cleanse effectively. Simply use this twice and you’re good to go.

Next step would be a hydrating serum. And the “The Organic Pharmacy Hyaluronic Acid Serum” is a perfect way to retain moisture in your skin. Hyaluronic acid is a sugar that is naturally found in the skin that holds water and keeps your face looking plump and hydrated. To optimize the use of a HA serum is to apply it on damp skin. That way the water on your face that would normally evaporate will instead stay in your skin and help you with hydration all day round. It’s perfect to use in both your AM and PM routine.

Time to lock in that hydration with a moisturiser. The “Botanical Balm” is packed with amazing ingredients such as; shea butter mango butter, jojoba oil and vitamin-E. All of which are known for their moisturising properties. Shea butter especially is a great ingredient for dry skin because of its high concentration of fatty acids and vitamins. It’s incredibly nourishing for your skin, making it amazing for dry skin in desperate need of some pampering.

As a cherry on top to finalise this dry skin regime, allow me to introduce the *drum roll*... “Farryn Amber Lunar Facial Oil”. This is the perfect way to end your routine. The star ingredient is evening primrose oil which is highly moisturising and soothing for dry skin. It also contains rosehip oil that’s rich with fatty acid, vitamin E and A. This can help with everything from moisture to fading hyperpigmentation.
